Rev Al Sharpton with Bishop Jackson and Rev Jamal Bryant
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Bishop Reginald T. Jackson, a towering faith leader who devoted his life to justice, service, and the empowerment of our people. Bishop Jackson, who led the Sixth Episcopal District of the AME Church, was a voice of moral clarity in some of our nation’s most difficult battles, from voting rights to economic equality to protecting our communities. His sudden passing is a heartbreaking loss for the AME Church, the civil rights community, and all who were touched by his leadership. May Bishop Reginald Jackson rest in power and may his legacy continue to guide us in the work ahead.
